Ukraine's air defence downs 40 Russian drones over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast overnight: fires break out, child injured

Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast overnight, causing fires and injuring a child. Ukrainian air defence forces have downed 40 Russian drones over the oblast since the evening.

Details: Several fires broke out in Dnipro due to the attack, with a house among the damaged buildings.

A fire also started in the Zelenodolsk hromada in the Kryvyi Rih district, affecting infrastructure there. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

A garage and an outbuilding caught fire as a result of a UAV strike on Pavlohrad.

Russian forces also targeted the Nikopol district. Heavy artillery and FPV drones attacked the Myrove, Pokrovske and Marhanets hromadas as well as the city of Nikopol itself. An 11-year-old boy was injured in Nikopol and received the necessary medical treatment.

Three homes, outbuildings and a power line were damaged in the Nikopol district.
