Drones hit oil refinery in Russian Ryazan for 9th time this year – photo, video
The oil refinery in Russia's Ryazan was reportedly targeted by drones on the night of 5-6 December, with explosions heard across the city and fires breaking out.

Details: Residents of the city of Ryazan and Ryazan Oblast reported hearing explosions on the night of 5-6 December. Malkov stated that the attack had caused fires. No casualties have been recorded.
One moment of the attack was captured on video by eyewitnesses. According to Astra, the Ryazan oil refinery was hit. The distance from the filming location to the centre of the fire is between 500 and 800 metres.
Quote from Astra: "As counted by Astra, this is at least the ninth attack on the Ryazan oil refinery since the beginning of 2025. The calculation is based on exclusive data from our editorial team, Open-Source Intelligence analyses and official statements from Russian and Ukrainian authorities."

For reference: The Ryazan oil refinery, with a design capacity of 17.1 million tonnes of oil per year, is among the largest refineries in Russia. It produces A-92/95/98/100 petrol, diesel, TS-1 jet fuel, liquefied gases and other oil products. The plant produces an average of 840,000 tonnes of aviation kerosene per year and supplies the Russian Aerospace Forces.
