Details: During the operation, Ukrainian drone operators struck Russian armoured vehicles and ammunition depots.

The successful operation was planned and led by the commander of the strike UAV platoon, a native of Luhansk Oblast who goes by the alias Skhid.

In 2022, Skhid was airlifted into the besieged Mariupol and, after the city's defence ended, made his way out to Ukrainian-controlled territory on his own, for which he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.

"In response to enemy claims of full capture of Luhansk Oblast, we are announcing an operation to control logistics routes in Luhansk Oblast and East Slobozhanshchyna.

Luhansk, Starobilsk, Alchevsk, Brianka, Kadiivka – are now under the drone control of the Third Army Corps," Corps Commander Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi said.

Background: On 16 April, 1st Azov Corps of Ukraine's National Guard announced that it had taken control of all Russian logistics routes near occupied Donetsk and would henceforth destroy all targets moving along these routes.
