Details: Russian rail operator Grand Service Express said: "By a decision of the infrastructure owner, services on one section of the Crimean railway have been temporarily suspended today, 18 June. Passengers on trains to Crimea will complete the final part of their journey from Vladislavivka station by bus."
The company announced that the Simferopol-Moscow train had been cancelled. Changes have also been made to the departure procedure for Tavriia trains from Crimea. Passengers departing from Sevastopol and Simferopol stations will be taken by bus to another boarding point.
The company did not state the reasons for the suspension of services or the closure of part of the railway.
Earlier, however, reports emerged of an attack on a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in the area. A nearby road bridge was also struck.
Background: At Moscow's airports, 527 flights have been cancelled and delayed amid a large-scale drone attack.
