House Springs man dies in motorcycle crash on MO Route 30

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A House Springs man was killed Sunday afternoon after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Missouri Route 30.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. on westbound Missouri Route 30, east of Main Drive, involving a Victory Cross Country motorcycle.

The crash happened while the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Missouri Route 30. According to MSHP, the motorcycle has defects in the front end, which caused the vehicle to shake uncontrollably.

At some point, MSHP says the motorcycle driver traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a large patch of gravel, and was ejected from the bike.

The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man from House Springs, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment after the crash but would later succumb to his injuries.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, MSHP said.
