Russians attack energy facility in Odesa Oblast, leaving thousands of people with no power

On the night of 3-4 December, Russian forces attacked an energy facility in Odesa Oblast belonging to DTEK, Ukraine's largest private electricity supply company, leaving many of the region's residents without electricity.

Quote: "A total of 9,500 households have been reconnected via backup circuits. A further 51,800 remain temporarily without power."

Details: The company added that the facility had sustained severe damage, meaning the repair works will take longer. Energy workers are already carrying out the necessary actions.

Background: On Thursday 4 December, scheduled power outages will be applied across most regions of Ukraine. The schedules provide for hourly power cuts from 00:00 to 23:59.
