Man detained after three people stabbed at downtown San Diego train station
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Three people were stabbed at a downtown San Diego train station Sunday night and one man has been as a suspect in the crimes, police said.
Officers responded to the Santa Fe Depot Train Station around 9:12 p.m., where they found the three victims, all with at least one cut.
A 27-year-old woman had lacerations on both legs, a 36-year-old woman had a laceration on her neck, and a 39-year-old man had a cut on his leg. All three were taken to the hospital.
The three victims were reportedly standing when the suspect approached and started arguing before it escalated to a fight and the suspect used an unknown object to injure the three people, police said.
The suspect was described as a man in his 50s with long gray hair, and at about 10:57 p.m., officers contacted a man matching that description just a few blocks west, near North Harbor Drive and West Ash Street.
The man was identified as the suspect and arrested, police said.
