Quote: "In recent days, Russian occupation forces have been intensively attacking the Kherson TPP, striking it with drones, artillery and other types of weapons.
This is an entirely civilian facility that supplies residents with heating and it has suffered serious destruction. The plant's buildings and equipment have been damaged. The terrorists [Russian forces – ed.] are once again waging war on civilians."
Details: Prokudin said that as a result of the attacks, the plant has suspended operations. A total of 470 buildings – more than 40,500 households – have been left without heating.
Quote: "Given the situation, I am convening an emergency meeting. We will examine options for alternative heating for the homes that were connected to the [Kherson] TPP. We are also holding talks with partners to provide Kherson residents with electric heaters and other means of heating."
