In most of them there have been direct hits on residential buildings, energy facilities and the railways. More than two dozen houses have been damaged in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr and Lviv oblasts."

The most challenging locations remain the major warehouse fires in the cities of Lutsk, Dnipro and Bila Tserkva, where the State Emergency Service has deployed robotic units and aviation.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the main targets have again been energy facilities.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "The goal of the Russians is to inflict pain on millions of Ukrainians, and they have stooped so low as to launch missiles at peaceful cities on St Nicholas Day."

He added that further pressure on Russia is needed.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "Sanctions must work, and so must our air defence, which means sustaining support for the defenders of life. I thank everyone working to make this happen."
