Details: According to the statement, these individuals and companies were part of a complex global procurement scheme that illegally supplied and purchased millions of dollars worth of dual-use electronics to end users in the Russian Federation, including companies linked to the Russian military.

Nikolai Goltsev, Salimjon Nasriddinov, Kristina Puzyryova, Oleg Zenchenko, Ekaterina Vetoshkina, Pavel Chernikov and Vladimir Bochkaryev were sanctioned. Four of them live in Russia, two in Canada, and one more in the US.

The companies hit by the restrictions are US-based H Brothers and SN Electronics, as well as UAE-based Suntronic.

The department stated that a procurement scheme consisting of brokers and companies, including two stores in Brooklyn, that supports the Russian military machine has been stopped. Export restrictions have been introduced for 180 days.

Earlier, the US Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control announced a large-scale package of sanctions against 130 individuals and entities that facilitate Russia's evasion of economic restrictions and help it supply technology for military production.

A network of individuals linked to Russian Artur Petrov, who was detained in Cyprus earlier this year at the request of the United States, was also sanctioned. Petrov, according to the American investigation, organised a complex scheme to circumvent sanctions for the purchase of American-made electronic technologies for Russian companies.

Reminder: Before that, four Russians were arrested in the US, accused of conspiring to smuggle electronics from the US for the Russian army.
