ST. LOUIS - According to the Neighborhood Security Initiative, a woman is allegedly stealing packages while wearing an Amazon vest inside a condominium building.

In video shared by the nonprofit group, it shows two women in a vehicle near North Sarah Street and Laclede Ave. rummaging through a dumpster, driving to the condo complex.

One of the women appear to be in an Amazon vest stealing, packages from a delivery pick-up.

“They got into the building by hitting all the buttons to each unit until someone finally buzzed them in,” said Jim Whyte, executive director of the Neighborhood Security Initiative.

In regard to this incident, a representative from Amazon shared the following statement with FOX 2:

"Unfortunately, there are bad actors who wear look-alike apparel to steal packages from customers’ homes. We encourage anyone who’s been a victim of theft to report the crime to the police and to notify Amazon Customer Service so we can provide any assistance possible,” said Louie Tran, Amazon spokesperson. "The vast majority of deliveries make it to customers without issue. If something occurs, we work with customers directly to help as much as possible. There are a variety of ways customers can keep tabs on the status of their orders, and we provide a number of delivery options to ensure their packages arrive as expected."
