Woman maces security guard, threatens with knife: Records

ST. LOUIS - A woman is facing felony charges following an alleged altercation with a building security guard and property manager.

According to records, 32-year-old Ciara Green went to the Arcade Apartments in downtown St. Louis Monday, to meet a friend who lived there. The security guard denied access to the elevator to Green, who was "visibly intoxicated," and demanded entry.

When she tried to force her way onto the elevator, a physical struggle between her and the security guard ensued. Green then maced the security guard and left.

She returned with a knife and approached the guard, according to the statement to police. The security guard maced Green in return in attempt to make her leave.

At the same time, the property manager attempted to leave the lobby when Green "began wildly slashing at (the property manager's) face with a knife." Bystanders managed to separate Green from the staff. Green then left the building once again.

Records say that the property manager suffered multiple deep cuts to her face and was treated at a hospital.

Police arrived and arrested Green after a short foot pursuit. In their search, they found brass knuckles and a bloody knife.

Green was charged with the following:

  • First-degree assault
  • Third-degree assault
  • Armed criminal action
  • Resisting/Interfering with arrest for a felony
  • Unlawful possession of illegal weapon

She was released from court Wednesday on a recognizance bond. A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 30.
