Woman injures 3 in alleged stabbing spree: Police
PAGEDALE, Mo. - A woman is in custody after police say she went on a stabbing spree Monday afternoon, injuring three men at two separate homes.
Officials say the stabbings began around 3:30 p.m. on Julian Avenue. According to investigators, the woman stabbed a man she knew after an argument. He was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
A second man was cut on the hand and treated at the scene, but police say he refused to cooperate.
The suspect then drove to Raymond Avenue, where she allegedly chased and stabbed a 65-year-old man in the back and chest; he remains in critical condition.
Pagedale Police say the suspect also tried to assault officers before she was taken into custody.
Police believe the incident was a targeted attack and not a threat to the community. Neighbors say the violence is a reminder of how quickly relationships can turn dangerous.
“It’s not going to end right at all. Somebody’s going to be hurt, or worse,” said Glenda Miller, who lost her daughter to domestic violence.
Charges are expected to be filed from the St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office.
