SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The 48th annual America's Finest City Half Marathon and 5K race wrapped up Sunday morning with more than 4,600 runners from across the globe.

The oldest half marathon in San Diego is the final race in the San Diego Foundation SoCal Triple Crown race series, which includes the Carlsbad Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K and the GOVX San Diego Half Marathon & 5K.

Every runner who completed all three of these races earned a San Diego Foundation SoCal Triple Crown medal to celebrate their accomplishment.

The course took runners from the starting line at Cabrillo National Monument to Balboa Park; meanwhile, the 5K route followed a flat loop through Balboa Park.

In the men's half marathon race, San Diego native Steven Martinez finished the 13.1 mile race in 1:05:00.
