White House: Trump and Ukraine briefed on Kremlin talks

Special envoy Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner have briefed US President Donald Trump and the Ukrainian side on the results of their talks in the Kremlin on 2 December.

Details: A White House official said that a "thorough, productive meeting" had taken place between representatives of the United States and Russia the day before.

"Special envoy Witkoff and Mr. Kushner briefed the president and the Ukrainians afterwards," they added.

The details of these discussions have not been disclosed.

Background:

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that US representatives had informed the Ukrainian side about the outcome of the talks in Moscow.
He also added that the Ukrainian delegation in the "peace plan" talks had received an invitation to the United States for a new round of discussions following meetings in the Kremlin.
It was reported earlier that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy might meet Witkoff and Kushner in Europe on Wednesday 3 December, but those plans have been cancelled.
