What to know for Thursday's St. Louis Blues home opener - And how to watch
ST. LOUIS - Happy hockey season! The St. Louis Blues officially open the 2025-26 season Thursday at home against the Minnesota Wild.
Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Enterprise Center.
If you’re planning to head to Downtown St. Louis on Thursday, either to attend the game or enjoy a hockey atmosphere, you’ll want to plan ahead. Tens of thousands are expected between the big game and a pregame pep rally.
Here’s what to expect for the pep rally and home opener:
Pregame rally
From 3-5:30 p.m., the Blues will host an outdoor pregame rally at Union Station. The rally includes live music, T-shirt tosses, raffles and appearances from Blues staff and alumni. Some lucky fans might even win tickets to the home opener.
Events and appearances include:
- Live music from "The Red Jackets" beginning around 3 p.m.
- Blues captain Brayden Schenn, Blues alum Cam Janssen and Blues broadcaster Chris Kerber are tentatively scheduled to speak to the crowd around 4 p.m.
- Blues chairman Tom Stillman is tentatively scheduled to speak to the crowd around 4:45 p.m.
- A Blues alumni autograph session is scheduled for 5 p.m.
- Appearances from Louie, the Blue Crew and other special guests
Guests can purchase food or drinks from a variety of vendors and restaurants near the rally.
Home opener
The Blues will host the Minnesota Wild in their home opener for a second consecutive season. It will be the season-opening game for both teams.
- Starting at 5:30 p.m., ticketed fans can begin entering the Enterprise Center.
- Sometime around 6-6:30 p.m., pregame warmups will be held. Fans can watch both teams up close during this time, even if their tickets are in the upper sections.
- All fans are encouraged to be at their seats by 6:45 p.m. The Blues will hold pregame player introductions and a new pregame show shortly after warmups.
- Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m., though could be slightly delayed based on the pace of pregame festivities.
Popular parking spots around the Enterprise Center include the Kiel Center Garage, Union Station and Justice Center Garage. Be prepared to pay, either by cash or card, depending on your ultimate parking location. Some spots could cost up to $50. Click here for a look at some parking spots.
Inside the stadium, fans can only pay for goods and services with the Enterprise Center using a credit or debit card. No cash is allowed. There are several new local and national food vendors for fans to enjoy, including selections from STL Kitchen, Crumbl Cookies and Rosalita’s Cantina.
The Blues will wear their standard home jerseys for Tuesday’s home opener. It will be the regular-season debut of the Blues' new retro-inspired, light-blue home jerseys.
Are tickets still available?
A limited number of tickets for Thursday's home opener may still be available through the Blues' primary ticket service Ticketmaster via Ticketmaster.com. Ticket listings currently start at $76 before frees.
Some tickets may also be available through third-party platforms like SeatGeek, StubHub and TickPick.

Jordan Binnington is expected to draw the start in net. Brayden Schenn is set for his third season as captain. Justin Faulk, Colton Parayko and Robert Thomas are all assistant captains.
This season will also mark Jim Montgomery's first full season as Blues head coach after taking over last November.
Home opener history
- The Blues are 34-21-1-2 (1 overtime loss, 2 ties) all time in home-opener games over 57 seasons.
- St. Louis has won six of its last 10 home openers, including four of their last five.
- The Blues tied twice in their first six seasons of existence, including their first-ever game in 1967. The NHL dropped ties after getting past the 2004-05 lockout.
- Thursday will mark the second consecutive season and second time ever the Blues have hosted the division rival Minnesota Wild for a home opener.
