Waves of beneficial rain, some storms possible
ST. LOUIS - Waves of welcome and beneficial rain will move through the area over the next few days. One of those is moving through early Monday morning, with everyone except the northwest corner of the St. Louis region seeing an overnight soaking.
With these bursts of wet weather, some storms will be possible. Severe weather isn’t expected, but some storms will bring heavier downpours, gusty winds, and lightning and thunder.
After the heavy rain moves out Monday morning, likely during the morning commute, mostly cloudy skies will linger. Let’s watch for spottier, light showers through the afternoon, with temperature highs in the upper 70s.
Dry Monday night into Tuesday, wake up temps in the 60s. Another widespread wave of rain looks likely for Tuesday afternoon and evening. Highs again expected in the upper 70s.
Waves of rain and storms will continue through at least Wednesday night. As we head into a drier weekend, temperatures will warm back up a touch.
