Vandalia storm sirens mistakenly activated overnight
VANDALIA, Ill. -- Residents in Vandalia were alarmed in the middle of the night on Sunday after storm sirens were set off.
According to a post from local authorities, the storm sirens were set off by mistake, and there was no emergency.
The post said authorities will be double-checking the storm siren system to ensure it does not happen again.
"Thanks for your understanding—and for putting up with us even at 12 a.m.," the post said.
