Ukrainian intelligence lists Russian manufacturers of ballistic missile parts that remain unsanctioned
Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) has published details of the structure of the 9M723 ballistic missile used in the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system, along with a list of its components and the network of companies involved in producing it.

Quote from Defence Intelligence of Ukraine: "The main contractor for state orders concerning the development and production of 9M723 missiles is Russia's Machine-Building Design Bureau. The missiles are manufactured at the Votkinsk plant. Both companies have long been under sanctions imposed by most countries of the sanctions coalition, as are the majority of other manufacturers of components for Iskander ballistic missiles."
Details: Meanwhile, DIU stressed that 13 out of the 49 companies listed are currently not under sanctions by any country in the sanctions coalition. These include:
- the Morozov Plant – one of the producers of solid-fuel charges for Iskander engines
- the companies PSB-Technologies and Pantes – manufacturers of board kits for the Kometa system, which Russia has begun installing in 9M723 missiles in place of decoys
- the Serpukhov Metallist Plant – a producer of accelerometers for the missile's platform-free inertial navigation system.

DIU also underlined that "the weapons Russia is using against Ukraine today may in the future be used by Russia and its allies against other states. Russia has already helped North Korea to modernise its KN-23/KN-24 ballistic missiles".
Background: Ukraine's intelligence recently published the structure, components and foreign-made electronics of the Iranian-made Shahed-107 UAV that Russia is using to strike frontline regions of Ukraine. Before that, DIU released new data on foreign equipment used by Russia in the production of missiles, artillery shells and UMPK guidance kits for converting unguided bombs into precision-guided munitions.
