Ukrainian delegation concludes meeting in US with American and European partners, Ukraine's chief negotiator says
Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, has reported that a meeting of the Ukrainian negotiations delegation with American and European partners concluded in the United States on 19 December.

Quote from Umierov: "We have concluded a meeting in the United States with American and European partners. Following its outcomes, I briefed the President of Ukraine.
We agreed with our American partners on further steps and the continuation of joint work in the near future."
Background:
- Earlier, Umierov announced that he and Andrii Hnatov, Chief of Ukraine's General Staff, would begin another round of consultations with the American side and partners on 19 December.
- Politico reported earlier that Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev is set to visit Miami on 20-21 December for talks with US envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner regarding the US "peace plan".
- On Thursday, Trump said he believes that negotiations to end the war in Ukraine were "getting close to something".
