Details: The kamikaze drone has received a new monoplane wing with an integrated fuel tank, allowing the FP-2 to carry a 200-kg warhead. With this payload, the drone has a range of 370 km.
The company says the upgrade will increase the range of the mid-strike drone to 700 km while retaining the previous 105-kg warhead.
One modification of the upgraded drone is equipped with two launch rails carrying four unguided S-5 rockets each. This will allow the UAV to strike flammable and lightly armoured targets on its way to the target.
Meanwhile, the deep-strike FP-1, fitted with an additional fuel tank integrated into the wing, will be capable of striking targets at a distance of 2,700 km from the launch point. The previous version had a strike range of 1,650 km.
The drones have also begun to receive AI systems, although Fire Point has not disclosed the role of AI in drone operations for security reasons.
Background: Earlier at Eurosatory 2026, Fire Point reached an agreement on integrating German Hensoldt radars into the Freyja air defence system.
