The meeting between the Ukrainian and American delegations in Miami has concluded.

Details: The Ukrainian side was represented in the talks by Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, and Andrii Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Background:

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha confirmed to journalists in Brussels that the Ukrainian delegation had received an invitation to the US. He also noted that Kyiv had not yet received detailed information about the content of the US-Russia talks that took place on Monday 1 December in the Kremlin, stressing that there were understandable reasons for this.
Earlier, there were media reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy might meet with Witkoff and Kushner in Europe on Wednesday 3 December, but those plans were cancelled.
Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov said that after talks with representatives of Trump's team no compromise version of a plan to end the war in Ukraine has been found so far.
Meanwhile, intelligence available to NATO has not indicated that Putin is ready for a peace agreement. The Alliance is convinced that the Kremlin leader's statements about Russia being prepared to wage war against European countries are merely bluff.
