Details: The Ministry of Defence said the mechanised demining fleet mainly consists of foreign-made equipment, including GCS, DOK-ING and Božena machines, as well as Ukrainian-made systems such as Germina, Hart 5100, Zmii (Snake) and other specialised machines certified under national standards.

Auxiliary robotic systems, modern detection tools and metal detectors are also being used to clear areas of explosive ordnance.

The Ministry of Defence pointed out that modern demining machines combine automation tools, remote control, soil analysis sensors and digital telemetry systems.

The ministry reported that mechanised demining equipment helps minimise risks to human life and makes the work of mine action specialists easier.

By comparison, at the end of 2024, Ukraine's fleet of mechanised demining machines comprised 52 units. At the time, the Ministry of Defence reported that the number had grown from 2 to 52 machines over the course of the year.

Background: It was reported earlier that the upgraded Ukrainian Germina demining machine, with remote control at a distance of up to 7 km and an improved design, is undergoing testing at the training ground of Ukrainian Demining Services, a mine action operator in Ukraine.
