Ukraine's drone commander warns Lukashenko that first 500 targets in Belarus have been identified
Robert "Magyar" Brovdi, Commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, has commented on recent threats from Belarus, stating that the Ukrainian military has identified 500 potential targets in Belarus. He also advised self-proclaimed Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko not to "stick in Ukraine's craw".

Quote: "To Minsk's Gauleiter Lukashesku: a barking dog does not bite. A bird of prey is different. The first 500 targets have already been identified. Some free and very practical advice: do not stick in Ukraine's craw."
Details: Brovdi also responded to threats from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who said yesterday that Russia is planning "systematic strikes on targets in Kyiv".
Brovdi pointed out that 9 of the 13 Russian oil refineries hit by Ukrainian drones have halted operations since being attacked.
Background:
- Belarus's Ministry of Defence announced on 18 May that exercises for units on the combat deployment of nuclear weapons had begun in the country. They were conducted in coordination with Russian military forces.
- Ukraine's Foreign Ministry described the stationing of Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus and the joint nuclear exercises by the two regimes as an unprecedented challenge to the global security architecture and called for a robust response from Kyiv's international partners.
- Following a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff on 17 May, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine has taken note of reports regarding Russia's plans to mobilise 100,000 people and is preparing to reinforce its forces on the Chernihiv-Kyiv front.
- Zelenskyy has instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prepare additional diplomatic pressure measures targeting Belarus, which Russia could use as a platform to expand the war.
