Ukraine's air defence downed 111 missiles in May, including 12 ballistic ones
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that air defence units from Ukraine's defence forces destroyed more than 57,000 aerial assets in May 2026.

Details: According to military data, the following were downed:
- two Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles
- 50 Kh-101 cruise missiles
- 10 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles
- 11 Kalibr cruise missiles
- 14 Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles
- 24 Iskander-K cruise missiles
- 5,053 Shahed-type attack UAVs
- 1,316 reconnaissance UAVs
- 50,894 UAVs of other types
It is also reported that in May, Air Force aviation carried out 1,089 sorties, including more than 700 for fighter air cover and around 230 for strike missions and air support of troops.
