Two hurt after car shot overnight on I-64 in St. Louis area
RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Mo. - An investigation is underway after someone shot at a car on Interstate 64 overnight, injuring two people inside.
Investigators are not sure of the exact location of the shooting, but the shot-up car ended up at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond Heights around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is handling the investigation into the shooting. Based on preliminary findings, it's believed three males of unknown ages were inside the car and two were shot.
After the shot-up car exited the highway, which initially led first responders to the St. Mary's Hospital campus, the victims were sent to a different hospital for treatment.
