SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Hundreds of young athletes gathered at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center on Friday to try out for the Right to Dream Academy, a fully-funded scholarship program.

The academy launched this year with 18 student-athletes in its U-13 team for the 2025-26 season, and there are plans to expand in the futur

With more than 600 hopefuls trying out, the Right to Dream Academy is poised to make a significant impact on young athletes in San Diego County, offering them a unique opportunity to excel both on and off the field.
