Tickets available soon for San Diego Rodeo at Petco Park

SAN DIEGO (FOX5/KUSI)-- Tickets for the San Diego Rodeo go on sale to the public this Thursday, Aug. 14.

The Rodeo will return to Petco Park Jan. 16-18 for a third straight year.

The all-ages event will include some of the world's top rodeo athletes who will be competing for $750,000 in prize money.

Event organizers say rodeo events will include barrel racing, saddle bronc and bull riding. There will also be a BeerFest, KidsFest and vendor village filled with western wear, artwork, line dancing, and more.

There will be official rodeo after-parties at Gallagher Square with performances by Charley Crockett, Jamey Johnson and Cody Jinks.

The Padres reported that more than 67,000 people attended the rodeo last year, which they said resulted in a $3 million economic boost for the community.

Tickets go on sale to the public at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14. There will be an exclusive presale for Padres Members on Wednesday.
