This St. Louis spot serves Missouri's 'best chicken sandwich,' food writers say

ST. LOUIS - Chicken sandwiches have evolved from a fast-food staple to a foodie obsession in recent years. They often stand out for their bold flavors and endless variations, making it a real challenge to pick the best of the best.
A research team at LoveFood.com recently compiled a list naming the “best chicken sandwich in every US state.” Their selections were based on reviews, awards, and accolades, in addition to the first-hand experience of their food-writing team.
According to LoveFood.com, the best chicken sandwich in Missouri is a Chicken Scratch crispy kitchen sandwich, served at Chicken Scratch locations in St. Louis City and Glendale.
Chicken Scratch is a family-owned restaurant that builds its menu around seasonal chicken selections, sources ingredients from local farms and aims to make meals feel like home-cooked family dinners.
While the restaurant is best known for its rotisserie chicken, dry rubs and housemate sauces, its crispy chicken sandwich has carved out its own following. The crispy chicken sandwich consists of golden brown, crunchy breading and a tender, juicy chicken patty, balancing crunch, spice and flavor with each bite.
