This is the St. Louis area's 'hottest zip code' for homebuyers
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A St. Louis suburb in west county has earned national recognition as one of the Top 10 "hottest ZIP codes" for U.S. homebuyers.
Realtor.com released its annual “Hottest ZIP Codes” report on Monday, ranking zip codes across the country based on demand, affordability and convenience.
Finishing fourth on the list was none other than Ballwin, Missouri. Specially, zip code 63021.
It's the third consecutive year Ballwin finished among the nation's Top 10 "hottest" ZIP codes, leading the way for the St. Louis region.
According to Realtor.com’s research, Ballwin had a median home asking price of around $350,000 in June 2025. Recent homes surveyed in the area sold quickly, spending only around 22 days on the market. Ballwin’s homes are also viewed nearly four times as much as the national average.
The only three ZIP codes ahead of Ballwin nationally? Those were 01915 in Beverly, Massachusetts; 08053 in Marlton, New Jersey; and 01453 in Leominster, Massachusetts.
Realtor.com says cities that finished higher in the list are primarily ones a short distance away from major US metros and ones that could offer larger house sizes, even if a little more expensive. The report found that markets in the northeast particularly noticed intense buyer demand over the past year.
