Third suspect arrested in connection with double murder in Nestor camper trailers
NESTOR (FOX 5/KUSI)-- A third suspect who may be involved in a double murder that took place in the Nestor community in late August has been taken into custody, according to a news release Monday from the San Diego Police Department.
The third suspect has been identified as Marco Ramirez, 22, who is originally from Los Angeles but was living in Tijuana, and was taken into custody Friday around 12:30 p.m., according to SDPD.
Officers reportedly located Ramirez in the area of 2300 Via Segundo, just five miles southeast of Nestor.
According to the report, two assault rifles likely used in the shooting have also been recovered.
On Aug. 30, around 3:25 a.m., officers responded to calls of multiple shots fired at 2002 Sunset Ave., about a mile north of the U.S.-Mexico border, according to SDPD. When officers arrived, they found two dead adult men inside separate camper trailers on the property, divided into individually fenced storage lots.
According to the report, both victims lived in campers at the location.
The first suspect in the case, David Verduzco Kruglova, 24, was arrested Sept. 2 after security cameras helped officers identify the suspect's vehicle, and he was pulled over and taken into custody.
Officers located the second suspect, a 16-year-old male from Tijuana, on Sept. 5, whose name is being withheld due to his age, according to SDPD.
