Teen entrepreneur lands deal with Walmart
ST. LOUIS - When FOX 2 first spoke with Joshua Danrich back in 2020, he was just 10 years old, selling his very first air fresheners.
Danrich dreamed one day of owning a luxury car dealership, and now at 16 years old, he's celebrating another milestone.
A deal with Walmart is putting Joshua's "Mr. Fresh" brand on store shelves across the country.
“This is history in real time and these are things that have never been done before," Danrich said. "Less than 100 teens are in Walmart and I’m one of them! I went to Walmart’s open call with a dream: my product and a whole lot of passion. I believe in myself. I sealed the deal and now my products are in Walmart stores and they love it. It’s amazing and I’m inspiring the youth. That if I can do it, so can you!”
Joshua's journey began with his mom at the kitchen table, sketching out a business plan. From selling scents at school to now battling the "triple S," which stands for stinky, stale smells, his product line is bursting with bolder ambitions.
“It’s made with 100 percent essential oils! 72 hours of freshness and it is a premium glass two-ounce spray bottle," Danrich said. "One or two sprays will last three to five days. And we have six different scents in Walmart. Yellow Rose, Black Gold, Cool Breeze, Jasmine, Baby Powder, and Vanilla. And they smell amazing!”
Joshua built his brand on inspiring others, and he told FOX 2 that others at his school, Chaminade, want to start their own businesses.
Danrich's journey is proof that age is just a number when it comes to chasing a dream.
"(Others) are like, 'Mr. Fresh, how do you do it? How do you do so much?’ …Invest in yourself," Danrich said. "Be what you want to be and start your own business!”
