Taco Bell's Live Más Café expands in SoCal and Texas
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- After Taco Bell opened its first-ever pilot concept Live Más Café inside a San Diego Taco Bell, the fast food chain announced it is expanding with new locations in northern San Diego, Orange County and Texas.
Live Más Cafés are located inside Taco Bell restaurants, offering more than 25 beverages -- including creamy Churro Chillers, specialty coffees, fruity Refrescas, Freezes, and Limonadas -- and have become so popular the fast food chain has plans to expand them with 30 new cafés set to open by the end of 2025.
The first-ever pilot Live Más Café opened in southern San Diego County at 1548 East H Street in Chula Vista in December 2024.
The parent company of Taco Bell, Yum! Brands, said nearly a year after its first location opened in Southern California, two more are opening in the region, with another handful coming to Texas.
The second-ever Live Más Café is opening at 11688 Carmel Mtn Road in San Diego, Taco Bell has announced, with another set to open at 4101 Campus Drive in Irvine, across the street from the University of California, Irvine.
Both the San Diego County and Orange County cafes will debut with ribbon cuttings and grand opening celebrations on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

“When you think about Taco Bell, you think about Doritos Locos Tacos, Crunchwraps – maybe Baja Blast to go with your food, but the beverage rarely comes to mind first,” said Taco Bell Marketing Director and Live Más Café Concept Lead Kathryn Chen. “So, it’s about designing for the ambition. If we want to be known as a beverage destination, then we need to have a physical presence and a differentiated experience that goes with it.”
The beverage expansion comes as Taco Bell announced a line of new menu items this fall, including Mountain Dew Baja Midnight, Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas, Decades menu, and more.
