Suspects, vehicle wanted for Downtown West mail theft
ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police are looking for four people who stole a large amount of mail from the United States Post Office building in Downtown West.
According to a police spokesperson, the theft happened on Sept. 11 around 4:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Market Street.
Police said a red van, believed to be a 2000s model Plymouth Voyager parked outside the post office. Three people dressed in all black clothing exited the vehicle while a heavy-set person in a white t-shirt remained in the driver’s seat.
The three individuals went into the loading dock area and stole two totes of mail.
The van fled after the theft, police said. The van did not have any visible plates or registration.
