Suspect sought in deadly overnight shooting in San Diego
(FOX 5/KUSI) — Police are searching for a suspect after a man died in an overnight shooting near the Linda Vista Recreation Center in San Diego.
San Diego police said officers received a call about the shooting around 12:45 a.m. Monday.
When they arrived at the site, they found a man "lying in the park who was suffering from a gunshot wound."
Officers and paramedics from San Diego Fire-Rescue attended to the man, but he was later pronounced dead. Police described the victim as a Hispanic male in his 30s.
Police said that early information "revealed the suspect approached the victim in the park and shot him."
Police describe the suspect as a heavyset Hispanic male adult.
