Suspect of St. Louis County AMBER Alert arrested: Sources
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - The suspect linked to an AMBER Alert last week in St. Louis County is now in custody, according to officials with knowledge of the investigation
FOX 2 News has learned that Jacob Putnam, 30, was located Monday.
On Sept. 29, an AMBER Alert was issued after Putnam stole a vehicle from a woman with her two-year-old child in the backseat on Kennerly Road in Sunset Hills.
The child was found safe a short time later near the 8400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in south St. Louis.
Charges were filed against Putnam the following day, which included:
- First-degree kidnapping
- First-degree endangering the welfare of a child
- Aggravated fleeing a stop
- Stealing a vehicle
Putnam is currently being held under a $700,000 cash-only bond. Online court records did not indicate when he'll appear before a judge.
