Suspect arrested after robbery at Chase Bank in South Bay
IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of robbery at a bank in Imperial Beach.
The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. at a Chase Bank in the 1100 block of Palm Avenue, the San Diego County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
A customer was making a cash deposit with a bank teller when the suspect approached the woman from behind, grabbed her money and ran out of the bank, according to authorities. The suspect then got into a car and drove away.
The victim suffered minor injuries from holding onto the car in attempt to stop the suspect from leaving the area, per SDSO.
The suspect, identified as Roberto Galvan, 40, was arrested in El Cajon after police spotted him in their jurisdiction.
