St. Louis sees dry spell continue with slight chance of rain

ST. LOUIS - We kick off September where we ended August, with below average temperatures and dry conditions. A swirling low pressure center in eastern Kansas has been sending some clouds our way but the rain has held mostly west. Central Missouri and the western edge of the St. Louis region have a slight chance for a sprinkle Monday, but most of us will just see a mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs right around 80. There will be a slightly better chance at a spot sprinkle overnight into Tuesday as that low drifts south, wake up temps around 60.

Tuesday will bring clearing skies from north to south. Highs again near 80. Ahead of a cold front, Wednesday will bring a brief pop of temps back to the mid 80s. As that front moves through Wednesday night, it will bring our best shot at some rain for this week. It still won’t be much, but we’ll take what we can get. That front will deliver another shot of early Fall-like cool air.

Continue watering lawns, gardens, and farms as the dry spell persists.
