St. Louis Police Board members reappointed after special session

ST. LOUIS - Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe has reappointed five members to the St. Louis Police Board after withdrawing their appointments earlier this month.

The appointments were initially withdrawn to allow Missouri senators to focus on the special legislative session without the need to approve the board members at that time.

The St. Louis Police Board was formed after Missouri lawmakers approved the return of control of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) to the state in March. Governor Kehoe appointed the board members in June.

The board includes St. Louis Mayor Cara Spencer, who is a member by virtue of her position, as well as restaurant owners Chris Saracino and Eddie McVey, photographer Brad Arteaga, car dealer Don Brown, and former St. Louis City HR chief Sonya Jenkins-Gray.

The board members will go before the Missouri Senate for confirmation when lawmakers return in January.
