Spot sprinkles Tuesday, Wednesday brings rain and another cool down
ST. LOUIS - Lots of clouds around early this Tuesday morning. A few sprinkles or very light showers are squeezing out of those clouds, but rain won’t be a major issue for the morning commute.
The skies will clear later in the day, Tuesday. Top temperatures will be in the low 80s. Mostly clear skies Tuesday evening and overnight; we’ll wake up around 60 F.
Ahead of a cold front, Wednesday will bring a brief pop of temps back to the mid-80s. As that front moves through Wednesday evening, it will bring our best shot at some rain for this week. Showers are likely, and a few thunderstorms are also possible, especially west of metro St. Louis. That front will deliver another shot of early Fall-like cool air. Highs on Thursday will only be in the low to mid 70s.
Overall, the drier and cooler weather rolls on. There is just a slight chance of rain on Friday, and a beautiful weekend is on tap.
