Sinkhole temporarily closes Pappy's Smokehouse in Midtown
ST. LOUIS - Pappy's Smokehouse will be temporarily closed Wednesday and Thursday after a large sinkhole formed near the entrance of the restaurant.
The sinkhole formed Tuesday at the smokehouse's Midtown restaurant, located at 3106 Olive Street. In a social media post, the restaurant shared that the sinkhole has caused flooding issues.
Pappy's Smokehouse anticipates reopening its Midtown location on Friday, the social media post said. During its closure, the smokehouse encourages diners to visit its sister location in St. Peters, located at 5246 N. Service Road.
The restaurant's Midtown location was previously closed on Friday as well after a water main break occurred in the area, according to a social media post.
