Shooting in Escondido leaves one injured, suspect at large

ESCONDIDIO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured late Thursday night in Escondido, authorities confirmed.

According to the Escondido Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting at around 10:45 p.m. at 475 North Midway Dr. When they arrived, they located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene.

The victim was transported to Palomar Medical Center for treatment. Their current condition has not been released.

At this time, no information about a suspect has been made available. Investigators have not said whether the shooting appears to be targeted or random.
