Shelter-in-place order lifted in Spring Valley after chemical spill
SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (FOX 5/ KUSI)-- A shelter-in-place order for Jamacha Blvd. in Spring Valley has been lifted, according to Alert San Diego.
At around noon, the San Diego County Sheriff's Office issued a Shelter-in-Place order after reports of a gas leak between Jamacha Boulevard and Sweetwater Springs Boulevard.
According to the SDSO via AlertSanDiego, due to improved conditions, authorities are lifting the Shelter-in-Place order in Spring Valley and deem it safe to go outside.

The order was lifted around 2:30 p.m., and HAZMAT will remain on the scene to assess the situation.
The Shelter in Place order was issued for the following areas:
- North of US Elevator Road
- South of Jamacha Boulevard
- East of Sweetwater Springs Road
