Shelter in place order lifted after SWAT standoff in Colina del Sol
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A shelter in place that had been issued in the Colina del Sol neighborhood Monday morning has been lifted, according to San Diego police.
Police and SWAT teams responded to an incident that started as a domestic violence call around 6:30 a.m. Monday morning.
The shelter in place was issued south of El Cajon Boulevard, north of Trojan Avenue and between Dawson Avenue and 56th Street. People were told to avoid the area, or stay indoors and lock their doors and windows.
Police later confirmed they were responding to an incident at 4310 54th Street.
San Diego Unified confirmed that Horace Mann Middle School had to be closed due to "police activity across the street."
The lockdown was officially lifted for the neighborhood before 10 a.m.
