Schnucks plans brand new store to replace Creve Coeur location

CREVE COEUR, Mo. - Schnucks announced plans to build a brand-new grocery store to replace its current Creve Coeur location.

The grocer is finalizing plans for a new store as part of an Olia Village mixed-use master development in the City of Creve Coeur.

Plans call for a 68,000 square-foot development that would be located near Schnucks' current Creve Coeur store at 10650 Olive Blvd. off of North Spoede Road. Upon completion, the new Schnucks location would replace the current one.

Once completed, store teammates will transfer to the new location, and Schnucks expects to hire
additional teammates to help staff the larger store.

A grand opening date remains to be determined.

“After serving our loyal customers in the Creve Coeur and surrounding area for nearly six decades, we’re excited to continue nourishing people’s lives in that community with a brand new, state-of-the-art Schnucks store,” said Schnucks Chairman and CEO Todd Schnuck via a news release. “In addition to a more modern and efficient shopping experience, once open, the new location will allow us to offer shoppers more options and amenities that simply aren’t possible at the current, smaller location.”

The current 36,500-square-foot Creve Coeur store opened in 1967 and is one of the oldest and
smallest locations that Schnucks operates.
