Scattered rain and storms Tuesday bring gradual heat and humidity relief

ST. LOUIS - Spotty showers and thunderstorms are around in our pre-dawn hours this Tuesday morning and the chance of showers will linger through the morning commute.

The chance of rain is ahead of a cold front that will slowly sink through the area throughout Tuesday. Yes, this front will bring cooler air to St. Louis, but most of the region, especially south of I-70, will still pop into the low to mid 90s Tuesday afternoon.

Additional scattered rain and storms are expected Tuesday afternoon and evening
As that front moves south Tuesday night, any rain will fade.

There will be lingering clouds overnight, with wake-up temperatures in the low to mid 70s on Wednesday. It won’t be as hot Wednesday, but it will still be muggy. Wednesday's highs will be in the upper 80s. The weather on Thursday is a little more refreshing, with highs in the mid-80s.

Another cold front this weekend looks to bring us even cooler air for early next week.
