San Diego named world's most relaxing city: study

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- If you want hustle and bustle, San Diego is not the place for you.

Holafly, an international eSIM provider, recently ranked the world's 12 most relaxing cities using metrics such as spa access, air quality, total number of nature and parks, sunshine hours, happiness and traffic congestion.

America's Finest City topped the list at No. 1 most with a relaxation score of 68.7/100, according to the study.

The report states that San Diego "offers a perfect blend of nature and wellness" due to its "laid-back and relaxed atmosphere, stunning coastline, scenic parks, and year-round sunshine."

With the most parks and nature reserves (266) than any other city on the list, San Diego also is home to 359 spas and wellness centers, per Holafly.

San Diego also logs over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, according to the study, making going out a whole lot easier.

Others to make the list include Singapore, Singapore (No. 2), Vienna, Austria (No. 3), Sydney, Australia (No. 4) and Melbourne, Australia (No. 5).
