San Diego FC, Qualcomm announce multi-year partnership
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- San Diego FC and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. recently announced a multi-year agreement that includes enhancing their individual brands while investing in the next generation of soccer players.
As part of the collaboration, SDFC and Qualcomm Technologies will launch an annual futsal court refurbishment program, aimed at updating playing spaces around San Diego County to ensure "safe, accessible and high-quality places" for people to enjoy.
Qualcomm Technologies also agreed to further invest in SDFC's Right to Dream Academy, which supports student-athletes. The company agreed to provide the athletes with products powered by its Snapdragon® processors in the classroom.
According to the academy's website, the program is designed for students between the ages of 11 and 18, providing a pathway for enrolled athletes to receive full five-year scholarships, regardless of their performance in the sport.
Qualcomm Technologies is the naming rights partner of Snapdragon Stadium, SDFC's home stadium.
The company is set to get more marketing, branding and promotional rights through the collaboration, including across SDFC's online platforms, signs within the stadium and at public-facing events and community initiatives.

SDFC is the 30th club to join Major League Soccer and played its inaugural season at Snapdragon Stadium in February.
