San Diego Coffee Festival returns to Broadway Pier this weekend

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Coffee lovers, get ready to sip, savor and celebrate as the 2nd Annual San Diego Coffee Festival is brewing up a weekend of caffeinated fun at the Broadway Pier.

Described as an immersive coffee experience, the event is bringing together the region’s best specialty roasters, coffee shops and artisan exhibitors for a two-day celebration of all things coffee. The festival takes place this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 11–12.

Attendees can sample a wide range of coffees, teas and snacks while enjoying live entertainment at one of San Diego’s most iconic waterfront venues.

Whether you're a casual coffee drinker or a full-blown bean enthusiast, organizers promise this is "your ideal coffee event experience."

The festival features unlimited tastings from top coffee roasters and exhibitors—each showcasing unique beans and brewing methods. From bold espresso to delicate pour-overs, there’s something for every palate.

Live local music will keep the vibe flowing as guests stroll the venue, reusable mugs in hand, discovering new blends, roasters and food vendors.

Non-coffee drinkers are also welcome—with alternative beverage options available—though every attendee must have a ticket due to venue capacity.

The festival runs in two sessions per day:

  • Session 1:
    • Early admission: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
    • General Admission: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Session 2:
    • General Admission: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A limited number of All-Day Passes are available for those who want full-day access, including in and out privileges and exclusive entry during the midday service break (note: no coffee is served during the break, but organizers say it’s a great time to meet the roasters or grab a bite from food trucks).

While the event is family-friendly in spirit, organizers discourage bringing young children due to the abundance of hot beverages. Kids under 13 may attend for free but must be closely supervised at all times.

So whether you're a latte lover, cold brew connoisseur or just in it for the vibes—this weekend, Broadway Pier is the place to be.
