Russia’s “Russo-Balt” just unveiled almost-identical Tesla Cybertruck clone

Russian company Russo-Balt has revealed details of its new electric model, the C55, including specifications, features, and an estimated price. Alongside the announcement, the company published renders that immediately drew attention.

In the images, the vehicle appears almost identical to the Tesla Cybertruck, replicating its angular design, sharp body lines, and distinctive front lighting.

Russian clone mirrors design and targets Tesla competition

The new C55 will feature all-wheel drive with dual electric motors, while its stainless-steel body closely echoes the Tesla Cybertruck concept. It is expected to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 6 seconds and accommodate five passengers.

The model measures 5250 mm in length, 2120 mm in width, and 1800 mm in height, delivering 550 horsepower, a top speed of 210 km/h, and a range of up to 500 km, supported by a 110 kWh battery.

In its base configuration, the vehicle comes equipped with a 15-inch touchscreen, a 360-degree camera system, an audio system with eight speakers and a subwoofer, and heated and ventilated leather seats.

Four-motor version boosts output to 1000 hp

An optional version with four electric motors will increase total output to 1000 horsepower. The official presentation of the model is scheduled for summer 2026.

The base price of the C55 is expected to be around $106,000. For comparison, the Tesla Cybertruck starts at approximately $60,000. The vehicle is expected to enter the market in 2027.

Earlier, all Starlink satellite communications systems in and around Ukraine were limited only to registered users, largely stopping Russian use of the systems. Before that, Moscow depended on Kyiv's terminals during the attacks on Ukrainian cities, using the connection that the country had.

SpaceX updated a "whitelist" of approved and verified Ukrainian terminals, while unapproved Russian systems were blocked. Currently, Russia lacks a satellite internet system that matches Starlink's speed, coverage, and ease of deployment. The only alternative it presents is the Yamal satellite network.
